Euro hole
The Eurohole is a slit-shaped opening at the top of packaging.
This opening is used for presentation and, if necessary, storage of the product in stores.
In China’s flexible packaging industry, a Eurohole is commonly referred to as a “plane hole” due to its airplane-like shape. It's widely used on packaging bags to allow products to be hung in retail displays and supermarkets. While there are other types of hanging holes—such as the more complex "butterfly hole"—we’ll focus here on the Eurohole.
At Packtastic, we offer Eurohole punching at no additional cost as part of our standard bag-making service.
Our Eurohole punching is powered by a high-speed pneumatic system. The punching die is one type of pneumatic mold used in plastic bag manufacturing machines. Once the bag-making machine’s computer sends a signal, it triggers the solenoid valve, activating the die—similar in structure to cold stamping molds.
This system is compatible with materials like PE, PP, OPP, PO, PVC, PPE, and CPE, and can cleanly punch through film as thin as 0.02 mm. Our high-efficiency process reaches speeds of up to 280 punches per minute.
Boost your retail packaging with functional and professional-looking Euroholes—only at Packtastic.
